Budapest. Med och utan dig/With and without you.

Last week I was in the fantastic city Budapest. I was supposed to go with my friend Marion, but when she couln't come I decideed to go by my self.

I bakgrunden syns Paramentet. / I used couchsurfing and stayed with this guy named Akram. I spent the first nights in an appartment he shared with some other tunisian guys. In the background you see the Parlament.

There was a flood in the Danube right now, the water was nine meters over normal.

I joined the Free Budapest Tour, to get a vision of the city and ask for some advice about where to go.

This lion is placed on the chain bridge, which is a british design from the 19th century.

Budapests absoluta nollpunk, centrum. The absolute center of Budapest.

/Then of course I went to search for second hand stores.

Heroes square is placed next to the Városliget area (city park) and created for the jubilee 1896. Here it also used to be common with communism manifestations, but today it's just a tourist attraction.

I really liked this area, it was a nice break from the busy city.

 Stadsoperan. / The opera.

The biggest synagogue of Europe is placed here in Budapest. Behind this you find the jewish quarters, which used to be the jewish getto during WWII. Houndreds of thousands of jews are said to have been killed in Hungary between 1941-1945.

Militärhistoriska museet. The museum of military.

I decided to stay a few extra days and spent these with my friend Marcello (a friende from my time in Romania) and his friend Anna who was also visiting Budapest.

Detta är insidan av Budapests kända basilika. / This is the inside of Budapet's most famous basilica.

Billigt frukt och grönt. Vi åt jordgubbar och körsbär till frukost. / Fruit and vegetables to a cheap prize. We ate strawberries and cherries for breakfast.

Marcello is living in the jewish area, which turned out to be one of the best parts of the city. If you go to Budapest, go there!

Szimpla. / Szimpla. Simply a place where they play back and white movies on the wall, where you can see the stars between two ruin walls and talk about everything and nothing with new and old friends.

Marcello, thank you for these great days, and Marion I love you and I miss you. I am sad that you weren't here to share this experience with me, but I'm sure we will see eachother soon again. Both of you are some of the best people I know.

We were soaked.

After a while it cleared up (1,5 hours!) and we went to Andra Lång!

There the party had started at eleven in the day, music was playing from every corner, people were dancing, drinking, laughing, loving, living.
