Horse racing in Happy Valley

 This Wednesday we joined some other exchange students and went to one of Hong Kongs racecourses to check out the horse races. First we had a nice walk while trying to find our way from the metro.

 Happy Valley Racecourse is one of the two racecourses for horse racing and is a tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located in Happy Valley on Hong Kong Island.

 We all tried to bet on some horses (minimum was 20 HKD) but had no luck. It was fun though, and quite an exiting way to start the night.

 There were a lot of students from our school there and also many other foreigners. Here are some of the nice people Diana and I spent the night with.

After that the night continued in an area called Wan Chai, one of the busiest commercial areas in Hong Kong.
